Crashed 20/10/27 at Point Cook with 1 FTS ‘B’ Flt, when engine failed on take off and aircraft fell from 60’ (crew Cdt C C Seach), completely destroyed by fire and struck off charge 20/12/27.

To 1 AD 22/03/26 for storage,
To Pratt Bros 08/11/26 for reconditioning over 1927,
Components tested by Munitions Supply Board (MSB) Maribyrnong 09/27.
To 1 Sqn ‘A’ Flt, acceptance tested 30/05/28,
Forced landing at Laverton 24/06/28,
Damaged 24/08/28 at Wangaratta North, Vic (crew Flg Off W J Duncan) “minor damage to machine through collision with sheep on landing”,
On 1 Sqn until at least 09/28.

Forced landing 02/01/29 at Point Cook (crew Plt Off A L Walters), total flight time 290 hours.

Crashed 04/08/26 (crew Flg Of C W Lord),
To 1 AD 06/08/26 for repair but this was changed with 1 FTS ‘B’ Flt to undertake repairs.
Conducted night flight 02/27 Sydney to Melbourne.
Components tested by MSB while reconditioned by Pratt Bros.
To 1 Sqn ‘A’ Flt 11/07/27, around Australia reconnaissance 21/07/27 to 10/09/27 (crew Sqn Ldr A Hepburn and LAC J A Collopy),
With 1 Sqn to Adelaide 26/11/27 for opening of new aerodrome at Parafield;
Crashed 12/01/28  at Point Cook (crew Plt Off L J Ryan) when hit telegraph post on approach.
Approved for conversion to components 25/02/28. 
To 1 AD and again approved conversion to components 20/03/28.

Test flown 19/04/26 (Flg Off C C Matheson) and 26/04/26 (LAC L Trist);
Modified with dual controls 21/05/26 to 21/06/26.
Crashed 01/07/26 at Manor, near Werribee Vic (crew Flg Off W A Holtham and Cdt T S G Watson killed)  when stalled during practice forced landing, dived into ground and completely destroyed by fire, total flight time 34 hours.
Struck off charge 28/08/26.

Further Board of Survey 30/07/23 due to extent of damage to airframe, which required rebuild forward of the rear cockpit.
Approved for conversion to components 21/09/23.

Conducted air route and landing ground surveys of northern NSW over 08/26 (crew Flg Off L W Sutherland and Flg Off V H Augenson);
Overhauled engine installed 24/04/27.
3 Sqn forced landing at Penrith NSW (crew Sgt R F Somerfield),
Forced landing at Bathurst NSW 22/03/28,
Crashed 30/04/28 at Goulburn NSW when stalled after take off (crew Flg Off C W Lord) as the aircraft had been rigged tail heavy.
Approved for conversion to components 02/06/28.

Damaged 29/11/28 at Point Cook when taxyed into by S.E.5a A2-31, minor damage and Puma engine was recorded as over 200 hours and performing well.

Crashed 05/09/26 near Geelong Vic (crew Sgt E B Ebell killed) attempting forced landing to avoid adverse weather, total flight time 567 hours.

1 FTS acceptance testing 28/03/28,
To 1 Sqn by 04/28 until at least 09/28,

Sold 15/01/30 to Aero Club of SA as VH-UMM,
Withdrawn from civil use 09/33.
This aircraft was temporarily converted, probably in 1928, at Point Cook with a 300-hp Nimbus engine in a streamlined cowling, and reached a top speed of 150mph.
