From Thomas Gray, Harry was his wife's uncle "Harry discovered a waterhole that had become overgrown with grass by means of taxiing into it. The propeller and engine were damaged, along with some damage to the wingtips. A new engine was flown out to him from Yarram, to which he returned with the wingtips fluttering in the breeze. Harry then manufactured new ribs for the wingtips and the aircraft continued to be serviceable."
*I'm not sure about the extent of the engine damage - an entire engine seems to me to be a lot of weight to be flown to the aircraft, but that's the story I was told"
