NZ7001 4052 64-15094 1965 Part of an order for three C.130 aircraft that was approved by the NZ Government on 17 June 1963 at a total cost of NZ$9.62 million.
Built as a C130H-105-LM.
First flown on 19 November 1964 and delivered to RNZAF on 24 March 1965.
Much of the flight testing for the "H" Model Hercules was carried out on this aircraft by Lockheed as it was the first of that model to be flown.
Arrived at Wellington on 14 April 1965 and BOC at Hobsonville on 08 April 1965 with No.40 Squadron, Whenuapai.
Radio call sign ZMZVA.
First deployment was to transport NZ Army detachments to South Vietnam from Whenuapai on 06 July of that year.
Outer wing replacement completed in the United States on 11 July 1981.
Withdrawn from service and ferried, along with NZ7002 and NZ7005, to Woodbourne for storage, 4 February 2025.
Selected for preservation at Air Force Museum, and flown Woodbourne to Wigram 19 February 2025.
Stored partially disassembled at Wigram until new display hall is built.

NZ7002 4053 64-15095 1965 Part of an order for three C.130 aircraft that was approved by the NZ Government on 17 June 1963 at a total cost of NZ$9.62 million.
Built as a C130H-105-LM was one of the first 3 "H" models off the production line.

Outer wing replacement completed in the United States during latter half of 1981.
Withdrawn from service and ferried, along with NZ7001 and 7005, to Woodbourne for storage 9 February 2025.
Put up for sale and sold April 2025 to Colson Aviation, of Thermal, California, USA, for conversion to an aerial fire bomber.
Registered N4053L.
Departed from Woodbourne 4 June 2025, on delivery flight to USA.

Delivered to the RNZAF in December 1968.
Delivered to Auckland on 09 January 1969.
BOC at Auckland on 22 May 1969 with No.40 Squadron, Whenuapai.
Radio call sign ZMZVS.
Outer wing replacement completed in the United States on 12 June 1981.
Withdrawn form service and ferried to Woodbourne 27 November 2023 for storage.
Put up for sale and sold April 2025 to Colson Aviation, of Thermal, California, USA, for conversion to aerial fire bomber.

Departed Woodbourne 17 July 2025 on delivery flight to USA.
