Serial C/N Aircraft history
NZ571 K63 Imported into New Zealand for Ernie Clark of Christchurch.
entered the New Zealand Civil Aircraft Register as ZK-AFI on 13 August 1937.
Sold to the Wellington Aero Club on 28 February 1938.
Impressed into RNZAF with Unit 18 Rongotai for a cost of 1775 pounds on 15 September 1939 as NZ571.
Sold to Wellington Aero Club from No.42 Squadron on 09 July 1946.
Entered the New Zealand Civil Aircraft Register as ZK-AKV on 13 August 1946.
To Hauraki Aero Club, Thames on 16 April 1951.
Purchased by J. Worthington and W. Christofferson on 28 October 1952 for 700 pounds.
Used from December 1955 by Midland Air Services to whom it was registered on 28 September 1953.
To A. Boulton and A. Jones on 09 October 1957.
To New Plymouth Aero Club on 06 September 1961 where it was restored to flying condition and flew again at the end of November 1961.
To J. Howie, Otematata on 17 December 1962.
The aircraft flew on until withdrawn from use in February 1963.
R
egistration was cancelled on 15 October 1964 and the aircaft broken up.
Remains rescued by John Geary and stored in South Auckland as a possible restoration project.
