NZ6460 6786/164/CB001 19 April 1991 First Macchi to be test flown in New Zealand on 12 April 1991.
Operated by No.14 Squadron Ohakea.
Made wheels up emergency landing on runway at Ohakea 28 November 1994 after FOD ingestion caused engine flameout on takeoff.
Returned to Italy for repair.
Back in service 1997.
from service 13 December 2001 when RNZAF strike force was disbanded and stored at Ohakea awaiting sale.
Flown from Ohakea to Woodbourne by Squadron Leader Stephen Taylor in formation with NZ6464 and NZ6205 for storage and sale on 30 July 2004.

Ditched in Rangaunu Harbour near Kaitaia after engine started vibrating and lost power 13 October 1993.
Pilot and passenger ejected successfully.
Tenth and eleventh RNZAF ejections, seventh and eighth in New Zealand and first non-aircrew ejection.
Aircraft retrieved but unrepairable and given to RNZAF Museum, Ohakea Wing.
Presently stored at Ohakea.

Aircraft landed on runway 27 at Ohakea on 09 February 2000 with cockpit indications that the undercarriage was secure but during the latter stages of the rollout all 3 undercarriage legs collapsed.
Repairs to aircraft not complete when strike force disbandment was announced and aircraft offered for sale on "as is" basis.
On display on pole at Wanaka Transport Museum
