Converted by de Havilland New Zealand from ex RNZAF Oxford NZ2153 (PG940).
BOC No.42 Squadron, Ohakea.
Missing on a flight from Ohakea to Rukuhia on 11 December 1951.
The wreckage of the aircraft was finally on Mount Ruapehu four days later.
The aircraft had struck the mountain about 50 feet below the summit at 1144 hours.
Flight Lieutenant Pat Goddard, Sergeant Reginald Shelton and Flight Sergeant Francis Stark killed.
Aircraft written off 21 May 1953
