Thomas, Frankton Junction on 07 August 1931 as ZK-ACU.
On sold to F. Norton, Wanganui in August 1931.
Crashed in September 1931 and rebuilt for test flight on 18
November of that year.
On loan to Tauranga Aero Club during 1933.
Grounded at Wanganui for overhaul from March 1934-November 1935
when it was flown to New Plymouth for C of A inspection.
Crashed at New Plymouth 17 November 1935.
Repaired and C of A issued 06 January 1936.
Flown back to Wanganui 23 January 1936 and crashed there the
following day.
Dismantled and stored at Wanganui until 1937 when it was
transported back to New Plymouth and sold to E. Brewster
who dismantled it and used the parts in an experimental
aircraft that he was building.
Registration cancelled on 05 August 1938.
Fuselage section and other remains stored on farm in Taranaki.
Remains rescued from New Plymouth barn in July 1986.
Presently being rebuilt in Blenheim by Stuart Tantrum who claims
that he has 60 percent of the original aircraft. |
