RAN accepts first Sea Sprite and starts training 3
November 2003.
March 2008. Seasprite project cancelled by Australian
Federal Government due to cost overruns and safety concerns with the
aircraft.
All aircraft to be returned to Kaman for resale.
Ten of the eleven ex RAN airframes subsequently
purchased by the New Zealand Defence Force (8 as flyers and
2 to be used as spares).
