11/04/11 - N24-006 played an instrumental role when HMAS Stuart interdicted a Yemeni-flagged dhow and rescued three c20rew members who were being held hostage by Somali pirates off the Horn of Africa
6/12/2017 withdrawn from service
11/2018 repainted at BAE Systems Australia in a Tiger scheme as worn by a number of Seahawks over the years
07/2019 moved the National Maritime Museum in Sydney replacing Wessex N7-216 that went to the Australian War Memorial.

883 70-0601 15/08/92 - Jandakot W A in service with 816 Sqn. "Hussein Harassers 1990-91" markings on port fuselage behind rear window were applied during the first Gulf War when emarked on HMAS Sydney.
15/11/98 - Garden Island W A in service with 816 Sqn

22/01/2001 - during night winching exercises, "Tiger 83" almost ditched in Shoalhaven Bight. The aircraft had problems with the automatic flight control system (AFCS) and came within 3 metres of ditching after spinning around three to five times during an uncontrolled descent. The rear crewmen cut the winch wire and the pilot recovered the aircraft after sending out a May Day message. Source : Australian Navy "TOUCHDOWN" Magazine August 2003.

01/11/98 - Nowra NSW painted in 50th Anniversary "Tiger" scheme.
16/02/99 - Avalon VIC Airshow painted in 50th Anniversary "Tiger" scheme.

03/2007 - Avalon VIC Airshow. Noted with serial numbers overpainted. The aircraft went in for repainting as a part of regular maintenance, the paperwork was mixed with another and it came out of the shop painted as N24-002 '71'. The mistake was corrected but still obvious, see our photos.
