10/09/1945 Flown in for a Surrender Ceremony by Lieutenant General Masao Baba at Labuan to Major General Sir George Frederick Wootten

Lieutenant General Baba was Supreme Commander of Japanese Forces in Borneo and commanded the 37th Japanese Army. He formally surrendered to Allied forces during a ceremony at the Headquarters of 9th Division on Labuan Island. General Baba was subsequently found guilty of war crimes in relation to the Sandakan Death Marches, sentenced to death and hanged at Rabaul on 7 August 1947,

??/??/1946 To Australian War Memorial (Stored at RAAF Base Fairbairn),
1965 Fuselage subsequently used at
RAAF Fairbairn Kindergarten in the children's playground,

The Hickory fuselage was recovered from the Fairbairn Kindergarten playground for the RAAF Museum, Point Cook VIC,  by W/O Bob Gould, and stored for the Australian War Memorial, Canberra, ACT,
Aircraft fuselage noted in storage at Point Cook in 82/83,
??/01/2013 Fuselage trucked from Pt. Cook to Canberra and
handed back to the AWM,
Fuselage is currently in storage within the AWM Mitchell Annexe.
