? ? Ca.309 Had been used by the Regia Aeronautica for flare dropping missions,
22/01/1943 Captured at Castel Benito, Libya, by 3 Sqn, RAAF,
Coded CV:V, Flare racks removed and six seats
01/02/1943 First flight with 3 Sqn, RAAF,
Used for hack, communication pilot transfers, beer runs and many other purposes,
Made a number of long flights to Cairo and Alexandria,
Both Gypsy major engines replaced with new units found at Tripoli Wharf,
04/09/1943 No longer with 3 Sqn, RAAF when the unit departed from Agnone, Sicily to Grottaglie on the Italian mainland.
