competition from jet powered aircraft such as
the winning Canberra he withdrew his entry
31/05/54 sold to Arnold Glass. The aircraft's
"Johny Zero" name came from a racehorse that
provided the winning to fund the purchase.
1954 in the REDex Round Australia Air Trial
but withdrawing due to Glass considering the
handicap system unfare

24/02/61 cancelled from Australian register

Used by British racing car

The collision occurred while the Mustang
formation was taking emergency evasive action
to avoid hitting a 3 Sqn Wirraway, A20-754,
practicing aerobatics in the same airspace.
A68-89 suffered a shattered airscrew and spun
down.
Pilot F/Lt. Graham Jack Edwards killed after
trying to bale out at 2000ft.
He possibly struck part of the airframe on
exit and his parachute canopy separated from
its shroud lines.
A68-89 exploded on impact within view of Fairbairn air base leaving a
